DIY Travel Guide: St. Augustine, Florida

St. Augustine, Florida

St. Augustine is a popular, historic, waterfront city that oozes with well deserved tourism. Just like many other great places, the city caters to curious travelers and vacationers.  We found some spots seemed a bit contrived while others are still holding on to the local flavor. As luck would have it, we received a local insight from our Aunt Judy and Uncle Fred, on the best spots in the historic district plus their cool local hangouts.

From FA Cafe, a tin-roof beach bar with great tacos, to Anastasia State Park where we camped in our motorhome among the thick palm forest and sandy beach, you’ll find these points of interest are a good start to your trip. A few will take you out of town, while others place you among the hustle and bustle of the downtown district. All of them are Cheddar Yeti approved!

This is a working list, as we hope to return later this year when we’ll see and do even more! Click on each of the markers to read our notes,  get the address, or add the spot YOUR Google Map. Please, also share with us your great spot tips in St. Augustine, they’ll probably end up on our list. We hope these local tips will give you a jump start on your next visit to St. Augustine, Florida.
